DEPARTMENT OF SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY

Scientific Field.
The Department of Systematic Theology systematically and methodically studies the doctrines of the Orthodox Church and her pastoral theological tradition. The Department also promotes the dialogue between Theology and contemporary world, proceeds to the historical and systematic examination of Philosophy, examines fundamental issues of the Philosophy of Religion and studies modern disciplines such as Sociology and Psychology. Furthermore, promotes the study of contemporary instructions of Didactics for the religious lesson with the assistance of Educational Sciences.

DEPARTMENT OF PATRISTIC STUDIES, HISTORY OF DOCTRINE AND SYMBOLICS

Scientific Field
The Department of Patristic Studies, History of Doctrine and Symbolics analyzes, sets forth and carries out researches into: a) the content of Church Father’s teaching, b) the formulation of the dogmatic truths of faith by the Ecumenical Councils and c) the historic divergences of the unity of Patristic tradition and the faith of the Church.
