She has born and raised in Athens, where she completed her general education. She studied with scholarship of IKY History and Archaeology in the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Theology at the Department of Theology of the Theological School of the same University.  For three consecutive years she was a fellow of IKY for preparing her dissertation. In the context of her thesis and the broader research, she has visited museums and archaeological sites in Greece and abroad. At the same time, he attended courses of Art History in the School of  Teaching  History of Art at the  εν Aθήναις Aρχαιολογικής Eταιρείας  (B΄, 1990-1991).

     In 1994 he was nominated Doctor of the Department of Theology of the Theological School of Athens. In 2002 he was elected Lecturer, in 2008 Assistant Professor, in 2012 irremovable Assistant Professor, in 2015 Associate Professor and in 2019 Professor at the Department of Theology of the Theological School of Athens, on the subject of Christian Archaeology and Art, where he serves today.

   She has taught the undergraduate courses: 1. Christian and Byzantine Archaeology. 2. Introduction to Christian Art. 3. Christian Art of the West. 4. Entrepreneurship and the Art of Icon Painting (in collaboration with the Economics Department of the University of Athens). 5. Divinity of Iconography. 6. Methodology of scientific research. 7. Special Didactics of Religion in matters of Ecclesiastical History, Art and Inter-faith Education.

    She has also lectured at Universities abroad. 

      Twelve postgraduate students have completed under her supervision and have received the title of qualification (Master). At the same time, three doctoral dissertations have been completed and have been judged under her supervision, while two others are in the final stage.    

    She has also taken part in crisis thesis committees of postgraduate students and PhD candidates of the Department, where he serves,  as well as the Departments of History and Archaeology of the University of Athens and the University of Ioannina, Departments of Theology and Social Theology  of the Theological School  of Aristotle University οf Thessaloniki  and the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Goods Management of the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies at the University of Peloponnese.  He has also taught at the interdepartmental postgraduate Program in "Sex & Religion" of the Department of Theology of the University of Athens and Panteion University of Athens.   

    He is a member of the Christian Αrchaeological Society, the Organization of Ionian Sea Studies, and Zakynthian Cultural Research Company. Has taken part with announcements in local and international conferences, he has participated in research projects (UOA- Department of Theology, University of Patras-Department of Architecture, Technical Institute (TEI) of Athens, Μunicipality of Athens), in organizing conferences and exhibitions.

               She is the author of numerous scientific articles and the books:

           Many of her studies research matters of Modern Greek Εcclesiastical Art and she has taken part in organizing six Scientific Symposia of Modern Ecclesiastical Art, and she has been the curator of their Proceedings.
